Homework
We have one last homework task for the year. With the upcoming summer holidays your job is to create your ultimate summer holiday. If you could do anything or go anywhere what would you do or where would you go?
When planning your holiday remember to be creative. Think carefully about things that you really enjoy doing and places that you like to go, you might even want to make up some imaginary places.
You can choose how you would like to present your homework, you may want to use your homework book, make a slide show, google doc or poster.
We will be sharing this task on Friday 2nd of December.

Tennis with David
Yesterday we were lucky enough to have a tennis with David from New Lynn Tennis Club. We learnt how to hold a racket correctly and how to serve. Next week we are going to build on these skills as well as learn techniques.
Yummy Stickers
Thank you to those of you who have been bringing Yummy stickers to school. Room 7 came third and as a result we won a set of balls for our class to use during break times. It is great to see the children getting so much enjoyment out of them.

Assembly Performance
During our recent school assembly the children involved in Mandarin classes performed a song they have been learning. It was great seeing Maya perform.
Weekly Swimming
Room 7's swimming day is Friday. Please make sure your child brings their togs and towel so that they can enjoy a few more swims this year.

Time for a catch up
Sorry it has been so long between blog updates. It has been a very busy time here in Room 7 but we will aim to have more regular updates throughout the rest of the term.
Student Led Conferences
Wow! we had a great turn out from parents/caregivers and the children really enjoyed sharing their learning with their families. They have worked hard throughout the year so this was a nice way for them to show you a small selection of their work.
Spring Fair
A huge thank you to those of you who helped out at our stall and to those who donated food. We managed to sell everything which was great. Without your help our stall would not have been successful.
Skills for Life Swimming
Over the last two weeks the children have been involved in Skills for Life swimming. During Skills for Life the children had swimming lessons and learnt water safety and survival skills. Despite the water being a bit cold some days most of the class really enjoyed getting back in the pool.
Missing Polo Shirt
On Friday after swimming we had a mix up with polo shirts. One of the boys has accidentally picked up a size 8 polo (it's brand new so is very 'fresh' looking) and a size 10 has been left behind. Could you please check that the correct polo shirt came home on Friday and if not please let me know so we can sort it out.
Last day of term.
We are nearly half way through the term. The last day of Term 4 is Thursday 15th December.
